Blue Forest Films / Owner

Hello! I’m an author and filmmaker based in Duluth, Minnesota where I work full time as the video producer at the University of Minnesota Duluth.

With Blue Forest Films, I produce story-driven content for outdoor brands. My films aim to celebrate the human experience and inspire hope, compassion and empathy.

After graduating college in 2011, I made the deliberate decision to live in Duluth where my creative muse is constantly stimulated. Living in a region with such amazing wilderness character has given me joy and purpose as an artist.

In 2015, I published my first book, Down South Justice, which features animal rescuers in the Deep South. That same year, I was named a Duluth News Tribune 20 under 40 recipient for my work and involvement in the community.

My academic background is in English and Journalism and I have worked professionally in both broadcast and print media. I previously operated under the name Lola Visuals where I produced and edited documentary films, wedding videos, and promotional content for nonprofit organizations.

I’m constantly evolving, learning, and challenging myself. I have a wonderful wife and two sons who have helped me to see the world in new and exciting ways. I couldn’t be happier to live a creative life surrounded by people I love.

Thanks for your interest in Blue Forest Films.
